505’s award-winning, flame-roasted Hatch Valley Green Chile and BBQ are a match made in culinary heaven. This year in the Top Taco VIP area, we’re bringing together the region’s top pitmasters for an exclusive “Green Chile Taco Challenge.”
With the help of Ole Hickory BBQ Pits and Colorado Native Meats, TOP TACO is building a world-class grilling arena. All VIP ticket holders will get to taste the creations from these giants of BBQ, and crown a champion. Use your VIP voting chip wisely!

VIP will also feature cooking demos where BBQ aficionados will have the chance to see these masters at work in a small and intimate setting. Creative cocktails will be served up by Patron Tequila and Diageo Spirits. Ice cold Estrella Jalisco Beer and refreshing Pepsi products, along with 505 Southwestern chips and salsa, will round out the area. Great music, comfortable lounge seating, ample shade, and some special surprises will ensure a worthwhile VIP experience for all of our guests.

The “Sultan of Swine” and “Maestro of Meat,” Jason Ganahal of GQue is a decorated barbecue champion who knows how to bring the heat. GQue BBQ lays claim to Denver’s barbecue scene, offering meticulously crafted signature sandwiches for dine-in and fresh meats by the pound for take-away. Bragging the “finest quality meats, best seasonings, and freshest ingredients,” GQue has won dozens of competitions and awards, most recently taking first place at Denver’s Chicken Fight Festival.

From Chef Jeff Gebott and restaurateur Tony Fitzgeralot, H3RSH3R is not your traditional wings and brisket. This fun, funky menu dives into the unexpected, spanning global flavors such as Korean BBQ Tacos, south of the border Mac n’ cheese, and Asian sticky ribs.

Growing up in Clarksville, TX , Chef Aaron Gonerway had a curiosity and enthusiasm to learn about what his Uncle Glen was barbecuing. The flavors and smells from the smoker attracted everyone to his house. You would hear blues blasting in the background, old stories of the glory days from some of his friends and slamming of dominoes on the tables. With a start out of his home kitchen to his Aurora restaurant location, Chef is quickly making a name for himself in Denver.

We are offering a menu that complements the staples influenced by the holy trinity of barbecue (St Louis/KC, Memphis, Texas) with daily specials crafted by our amazing team. From a sandwich piled high with pork, brisket, exotic veggies and/or fried treats, to a smoked Japanese noodle dish, prepare your taste buds to be hypnotized. We are also the first Sugarfire with a full bar that features drink specials, local craft beers, wine and liquor to suit every taste.
